No, you can unlock your Smart Deadbolt from the exterior by touching the Smart Button while your device is in range.

A new user can be added by using the “Invite User” op­tion in the Users menu. A new invite code can be given to a user by email, SMS text, or verbally. To invite or add a new user, refer to section 9.4 of the user manual. Click here to download.

With average usage, four AA alkaline batteries will last up to two years.

A Key Fob can operate 4 Smart Deadbolt devices.
A maximum of 10 users can be added to the Smart Deadbolt.
If you forget your PIN, reinstall the Securemote app, and then get a new invite code from your Admin. Refer to section 7 of the user manual for further information. Click here to download.
If you don't have a smart phone, you can use the keys provided to access the Smart Deadbolt.
If you are the only user, do a factory reset on the Smart Deadbolt. If there are more users than yourself, delete the user who lost their phone from the Smart Deadbolt using a smartphone with admin privilege. Use the key fob or keys provided to enter into your home.
You can use the 9v emergency battery contact on the Smart Deadbolt to power it up. Then, use your phone app to open the lock. When the battery level drops to 20%, the Yellow LED blinks once each time an operation request is sent to the Smart Deadbolt. The batteries should be changed promptly, as the Smart Deadbolt will stop working when the battery level drops to 10%. To replace the battery, remove the cover from the indoor unit.
The Securemote app is used to lock and unlock the Smart Deadbolt. The app can also be used to manage users, add key fobs, and change Smart Deadbolt settings.
The Smart Deadbolt is compatible with iPhone 4s and above, iPad 3rd generation and later, iPad Mini, iPod 5th generation and later, and Android 4.3 or above with BLE.
